Luxair has broadened its flight offerings with the inauguration of direct routes from Luxembourg to Helsinki and Edinburgh. This expansion brings more accessible travel options to Northern Europe for passengers. The new service to Helsinki took off on July 2, followed by the Edinburgh route launching on July 3. Both routes will operate twice a week, with flights to Helsinki on Mondays and Thursdays, and services to Edinburgh on Mondays and Fridays.
The airline has noted that these destinations have been highly requested by travelers, meeting strong interest from both business and leisure sectors. This development is part of Luxair’s comprehensive growth strategy, which is underpinned by a continuous fleet renewal process. The introduction of Helsinki and Edinburgh flights is included in a broader expansion plan that sees the airline adding nine new routes in 2026, bringing its total network to 101 destinations.
The addition of these flights is anticipated to enhance connectivity between Luxembourg and two significant European capitals, offering passengers a wider array of travel opportunities. By including these cities in its network, Luxair is responding to customer demand and solidifying its presence in the European travel market.
This strategic move underscores Luxair’s commitment to expanding its reach and improving its service offerings. The airline’s ongoing efforts to renew its fleet and expand its network demonstrate a forward-thinking approach aimed at meeting the evolving needs of its passengers.
